The basics

You will be surprised to find that many cleaning products can be found inside your kitchen cupboards. White vinegar and lemon juice have antibacterial properties, whereas olive oil is perfect for wooden surfaces. Try baking soda for stubborn stains, as it becomes gritty when water is added.

Cleaning wooden surfaces

If you have a wooden floor or a dining table that is getting a little grubby, we recommend mixing a cup of vinegar with a teaspoon of olive oil. For flooring, add some hot water to the mix to help it spread further. Otherwise, try natural beeswax to restore wooden furniture. This has been used in many successful applications, including historical churches.

Alternatively, you could install laminate flooring to save you some time when cleaning. White laminate flooring from a specialist such as can be cleaned with a slightly damp sponge.
